Adam Trop

Attorney

A native South Floridian, Adam Trop has represented victims of negligence, dangerous and defective products and medical malpractice for over 30 years. Mr. Trop specializes in Civil Trial Law. He has the distinction of being a Board Certified Civil Trial Attorney for 25 years — an honor bestowed on fewer than 2% of Florida attorneys. He is accordingly recognized by the Florida Bar as an expert in cases involving personal injury, dangerous and defective products and medical malpractice. Mr. Trop obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in English from the University of Florida in 1986 and graduated from the University of Florida College of Law with his Juris Doctor Degree in 1989. A proud father of two boys, Mr. Trop is dedicated to protecting the rights of personal injury and wrongful death victims and their families. He limits his practice to the representation of those who have been seriously injured or suffered loss of life due to the fault of others. The son of a doctor, Mr. Trop handles complex medical issues in his daily practice for his medical malpractice, defective product and personal injury clients. Like many lawyers, Mr. Trop proudly belongs to numerous prestigious legal organizations, including the Florida Bar Association, the Federal Bar for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida, the Florida Justice Association, the American Association for Justice, and the Broward County Bar Association. But Mr. Trop is most proud of the achievements he has won in the courtroom over his decades’ long career as a trial attorney. Mr. Trop holds the distinction of winning the nation’s first and only jury verdict against the U.S. tobacco companies based upon second-hand smoke exposure. To date, Mr. Trop has amassed many multi-million dollar jury verdicts, including jury verdicts of $30,000,000, $24,000,000 and $35,000,000 against the tobacco companies on behalf of the families of former smokers.
